According to the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy, this phase of the EU-funded EcoVoucher program took place from August 21 to 31. New home appliances allow families to reduce energy consumption and electricity costs while improving comfort and using modern, more efficient appliances in their daily lives. As part of this new phase of the program, families purchased 85 refrigerators and 65 washing machines. The vouchers they received, worth 6,000 lei, covered up to 70% of the cost of the appliances. The number of vouchers redeemed under the EcoVoucher program reached 1,613. All appliances purchased meet energy efficiency requirements and European Conformity (CE) standards. Beneficiaries could choose refrigerators in energy efficiency classes A, B, C, and D, while all washing machines purchased were in energy efficiency class A. In addition to providing financial support, the EcoVoucher program contributes to environmental protection by encouraging the collection and recycling of discarded electrical and electronic equipment, thereby reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible energy consumption. The EcoVoucher program was developed by the Moldovan government with support from the European Union. // 03.09.2026 — InfoMarket.
