This was reported by the Ministry of Energy and the Joint Unit for the Implementation and Monitoring of Energy Projects (UCIPE), noting that the planned work will be carried out as part of the "Energy Efficiency in Moldova" project and is aimed at significantly improving the energy efficiency of buildings and creating better conditions for patients and medical staff. The work will include a range of measures to improve energy efficiency: thermal insulation of the building's exterior envelope; replacement of exterior windows and doors with energy-efficient models; upgrading the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems; upgrading the interior and exterior lighting systems; and installing a 40-kW photovoltaic system. The goal of these measures is to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, improve comfort and building conditions, and enhance the institution's energy efficiency in accordance with European standards. "Thanks to the support of the authorities and development partners, the 'Energy Efficiency in Moldova' project offers solutions that will help reduce both energy consumption and operating costs and extend the service life of the buildings. Investments in energy efficiency are, in essence, about people. These improvements will create better conditions for patients and medical staff, as well as ensure more efficient and sustainable building operations. This is precisely what we aim to achieve through this project," said Ruslan Surujiu, director of UCIPE. The "Energy Efficiency in Moldova" project is one of the largest nationwide initiatives in the field of energy efficiency for public buildings, providing for the energy retrofit of 10 medical facilities of national importance. UCIPE is implementing the project under the patronage of the Moldovan government and the Ministry of Energy. // 20.08.2026 — InfoMarket
