According to the Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy, this phase of the program, funded by the European Union, took place from September 4 to 13. New household appliances allow families to reduce their energy consumption and electricity costs while increasing their comfort and using modern, more efficient appliances in their daily lives. As part of this new phase of the EcoVoucher program, families purchased 48 refrigerators and 59 washing machines. The vouchers they received, worth 6,000 lei each, covered up to 70% of the cost of the appliances. All appliances purchased meet energy efficiency requirements and European conformity standards (CE). Beneficiaries could choose refrigerators in energy efficiency classes A, B, C, and D, while all washing machines purchased were in energy efficiency class A. Participants in the current phase of the program include: 71 families with minor children; 25 people over the age of 63; and 11 people with severe disabilities. In addition to providing financial assistance, EcoVoucher contributes to environmental protection by encouraging the collection and recycling of discarded electrical and electronic equipment, thereby reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible energy consumption. The EcoVoucher program was developed by the Moldovan government with the support of the European Union. // 14.09.2026 — InfoMarket.
