The State Tax Service has reminded taxpayers that all active API accounts used for automatic connection to the e-Factura electronic tax invoice system will be deactivated on October 30 at 5:00 p.m. This decision was made in response to an increase in cyberattacks and is intended to protect taxpayer data and prevent unauthorized access to the agency's information resources. The deactivation will affect existing API accounts that facilitate automated data exchange between the e-Factura system and accounting software or other enterprise information systems. To restore connectivity, users with administrator privileges must log in to their taxpayer account after 5:00 p.m. on October 30, open e-Factura, and in the "Settings" section — "Company Users"—select the option to create a new API user. After filling in the required information and creating the account, you will need to update the authorization settings in your accounting software or integrated information system, and then verify that the connection is working, and that data is being exchanged correctly. The State Tax Service clarified that no action is required regarding existing API accounts; however, new accounts must be created to continue using automated services. The Tax Service recommends that companies plan their technical work in advance to avoid disruptions in electronic document flow and ongoing operational processes. Instructions for setting up fully automated and semi-automated integration are available in the "Help" section of the e-Factura system. For technical assistance, please call 08000 15 25 or email asistenta@sfs.md. In connection with the transition to the new API accounts, the State Tax Service's unified contact center will also be open on Saturday and Sunday, October 31 and November 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.// 30.10.2026 — InfoMarket.
