This was discussed during a meeting that Prime Minister Vasile Tofan held with Søren Jensen, Denmark's ambassador to our country. The head of government thanked Denmark for its ongoing support of our country, including in the process of European integration and projects that have a direct impact on citizens. It was noted that the current portfolio of projects supported by Denmark in Moldova exceeds 60 million euros and covers areas such as energy sustainability, the rule of law, cybersecurity, combating disinformation, security and defense, as well as crisis management. Particular attention was paid to developing economic ties and attracting new Danish investments into the national economy. Officials discussed strengthening ties between business communities and investment opportunities in areas such as the IT industry, agriculture and the agri-food sector, energy efficiency in buildings, and green energy. In this context, Vasile Tofan highlighted Moldova's advantages for investors and the country's potential as a platform for business development and access to regional and European markets. The parties expressed their readiness to intensify dialogue between companies in both countries and to develop new investment projects. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldovan exports to Denmark in the first half of 2026 increased by 0.8% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 1.6 million euros, while Danish imports rose by 31.1% to 12.3 million euros.
