The State Tax Service has reminded businesses of the need to adjust the time on their cash registers in connection with the switch to standard time; otherwise, the devices will be considered malfunctioning. According to the operating rules for cash registers, when processing payments in cash or with other payment instruments, taxpayers are required to use properly functioning devices; and the equipment is considered to be in good working order if the documents it issues display the current calendar date and time with a maximum deviation from the actual time of no more than 15 minutes. If the clocks are not adjusted by the specified deadline, the equipment will be considered defective. The time must be set in accordance with the operating instructions for the specific device. As a reminder, on the night of October 24–25, Moldova will switch to standard time—the clocks will be set back one hour.// 22.10.2026 — InfoMarket.
