According to the Investment Agency, the diaspora's potential in promoting Moldova's image and local products in foreign markets is confirmed by new initiatives that are having a significant impact. Proof of this is the Moldovan Wine Tasting project, organized in The Hague, Netherlands, by entrepreneur Iulian Buza, co-founder and manager of Buza Restaurant & Wine, with support from the Buy Diaspora program. On August 30, as part of a tasting event attended by representatives from the B2C and B2B sectors, 10 small winemakers from Moldova established direct contacts with consumers and representatives of the Dutch business community. In addition to tastings and workshops, the event provided a valuable platform for building relationships and engaging in dialogue with Dutch partners, helping to identify new opportunities for cooperation and exports for local producers. According to the Investment Agency, this initiative demonstrates the important role of the diaspora in Moldova's economic development and in positioning Moldovan products on international markets. The Buy Diaspora program is implemented by the Investment Agency in partnership with UNDP in Moldova, with financial support from the UN Multilateral Program on Migration. // 01.09.2026 — InfoMarket.
