After joining SEPA, Moldova has seen a noticeable impact from cheaper and faster transfers in euros: fees have decreased, the number of transactions has increased, and businesses have gained access to payment standards comparable to those in Europe. The National Bank notes that these changes are already having an impact not only on the expenses of citizens and companies, but also on the dynamics of foreign payments and overall economic activity.
