According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, this project is specifically aimed at improving the efficiency of public administration, enhancing transparency, and developing mechanisms to facilitate Moldovan companies' access to the opportunities offered by the European market. In this regard, Cristina Ceban, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, held a meeting with project representatives to discuss the objectives and planned activities under the quality infrastructure component. This component will be implemented with support from the Czech Republic. Moldova consistently benefits from its cooperation with the Czech side, and Czech experience and expertise have made a significant contribution to the development of the national metrology system. Within the framework of the project, this experience will help strengthen the capacity of institutions in the field of quality infrastructure and develop mechanisms compatible with those used in the European Union. "Cooperation with the Czech Republic gives us access to experience and knowledge that are essential for our path toward Europe. Strengthening the quality infrastructure is crucial to ensuring that products and services from Moldova can compete in European markets and that our institutions operate in accordance with rules and procedures aligned with EU requirements," said Cristina Ceban, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. As part of the "Quality Infrastructure" component, the project will support the development of three main areas: the creation of an Operational Support Service for the Single Market (Helpdesk-ului Operațional pentru Piața Unică) under the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, which will provide companies and institutions with information and support regarding the rules and requirements applicable in the Single Market; strengthening quality assurance infrastructure and institutional capacity for the effective application of European rules and mechanisms; Developing digital data exchange between the Customs Service, market surveillance authorities, and EU systems to ensure faster, more transparent, and compatible procedures. Implementing these measures will ensure a more predictable business environment and promote convergence with the Single European Market, creating new opportunities for Moldovan companies. // 18.08.2026 — InfoMarket
