Prime Minister Vasile Tofan announced this during a meeting with Nikolaos Krikos, the Greek ambassador to our country. The officials discussed strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest. Moldova's European integration agenda was a key topic of discussion. Vasile Tofan thanked Greece for its continued support of our country's European path and reaffirmed the government's commitment to continuing reforms and advancing the EU accession process. In this context, the Greek side expressed its readiness to continue providing technical assistance in implementing reforms and strengthening Moldova's institutional capacity. The parties also discussed the development of economic cooperation and the attraction of Greek investment into our country's economy, including in the fields of information technology, pharmaceuticals, agritourism, and medical tourism. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldovan exports to Greece in the first half of 2026, compared with the same period in 2025, decreased by 1.1% to 30 million euros, while Greek imports decreased by 4.4% to 28 million euros.
