In Moldova, 1,376 building permits were issued in the first half of 2026, a 0.5% decrease year-over-year.
Permits for residential buildings increased to 1,034 (+3%), while those for non-residential buildings decreased to 342 (-9.8%).
51.5% of permits were issued in rural areas, and 48.5% in cities; in urban areas, the figure decreased by 1.2%.
Chisinau leads the way with 399 residential permits; the “Center” region saw the sharpest decline in non-residential permits.
