Amendments to Moldova's Natural Gas Law have come into effect, establishing a separate mechanism for mandatory reserves to supply the Transnistrian region. The new rules establish procedures for building up and drawing down the reserve, and also introduce requirements for the company designated to handle supplies, making the system more formalized and predictable in light of past disruptions.

ANRE rejected allegations that the euro exchange rate was artificially inflated when calculating the new gas tariff, which allegedly placed an additional burden on consumers.
