The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova held a working meeting for entrepreneurs from the left bank of the Nistru, with the aim of providing them with useful information on business registration, the application of tax laws, and import procedures. The event gave economic agents the opportunity to obtain information directly from representatives of the Public Services Agency, the State Tax Service, and the Customs Service. One of the topics discussed was the procedure for registering and temporarily recording business entities located on the left bank of the Nistru, as well as issues related to their inclusion in the State Register of Legal Entities. With regard to taxation, participants were briefed on the application of the Republic of Moldova's tax legislation, the methodology for calculating taxes and fees, registration and deregistration as a VAT and excise taxpayer, as well as the procedure for filing VAT and excise tax returns. Particular attention was paid to customs procedures applicable to goods imported into Moldova by economic entities from the left bank of the Nistru, including the procedures for collecting value-added tax and excise taxes, as well as other aspects related to customs clearance formalities and procedures. During the dialogue, practical aspects of applying the import taxation mechanism were also discussed, and a number of practical issues related to the application of this mechanism were addressed. The issues and problems raised by business representatives will be compiled by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and forwarded to the relevant authorities for review and clarification.
