This was discussed during a meeting that Finance Minister Victoria Belous held with the Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Sung Ah Lee, as part of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF in Bangkok. The discussions focused on continuing cooperation, particularly through programs aimed at supporting the diaspora and encouraging its investments in Moldova. As noted, the IOM is ready to provide assistance through programs designed to support the diaspora and encourage its investment activities in Moldova. The initiative is designed to facilitate the involvement of Moldovan citizens living abroad in the national economy, as well as to promote the use of their experience, skills, and financial resources. The parties agreed on the importance of continuing the dialogue to identify specific areas of cooperation in this field. The annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF are taking place from October 12 to 18 in Bangkok, Thailand. // 15.10.2026 — InfoMarket
