A contractor is to be selected to carry out renovation work on the facades and roof of the historic city hall building located at 83 Ștefan cel Mare Street. The contractor will be responsible for carrying out a comprehensive range of work to restore the facades and architectural decor of the main building and its wing, replacing or restoring windows and doors, performing construction and architectural work, and modernize the electrical power equipment, as well as the ventilation and air conditioning systems. Requests for clarification will be accepted until August 21, and bids may be submitted from August 21 through September 11. It is worth noting that the tender was previously announced in May, June, and July, but in all cases, it was unsuccessful. The Chișinău City Hall building—a historical and architectural monument—was constructed between 1898 and 1902 based on a design by city architect Mitrofan Elladi and under the supervision of renowned architect Alexander Bernardazzi. In 1941 and 1945, the building was partially destroyed as a result of military operations, but it was restored by 1948. The upcoming work is aimed at preserving the building's historic appearance and restoring its structural elements. // 14.08.2026 – InfoMarket.
