According to the United Nations Development Program in Moldova, certificates were awarded to six clusters on October 22 at the Second National Cluster Forum in Chisinau, which brought together about 100 representatives of cluster organizations from Moldova, Ukraine, and other European countries, as well as government agencies, businesses, universities, and research institutions. The Sorintex – Moldova Textile Export textile cluster became the first in the country to receive a Silver Label certificate, confirming its compliance with European standards for cluster management. At the same time, Bronze Label certificates were awarded to the Trade Honey Group beekeeping cluster, the Riviera Nistrului tourism cluster, the Legumicol Nistrul de Jos vegetable-growing cluster, the Golden Grapes Logistics viticulture cluster, and the Fresh Fruit North fruit and vegetable cluster. To date, a total of 15 Moldovan clusters have completed the evaluation process conducted by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) (1 received a Silver certificate and 14 received Bronze certificates). The ESCA Bronze Label certificate helps build trust and recognition in relations with national and international partners, and provides a clear framework for more effective management, improved services for members, and strengthening the cluster's position within European networks. ESCA Silver Label certification is the next step in the certification process; it is an external assessment that confirms that the organization managing the cluster has implemented specific improvements. During the forum, it was noted that over the past year, the total revenue of companies belonging to UNDP-supported clusters has grown by more than 10%. They have preserved approximately 700 jobs and improved working conditions for an additional 200 employees, as well as developed or begun developing more than 10 new products and services. The clusters have established more than 10 new international contacts and participated in more than five international events and economic missions. It is worth noting that since 2019, UNDP, in partnership with the European Union, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, has been supporting 21 clusters on both banks of the Dniester, which bring together more than 220 companies and organizations in the food industry, horticulture, beekeeping, tourism, and the textile and furniture sectors. In 2026, with Switzerland's support, three more associations were institutionalized: the Perla Nistrului tourism cluster, the Miere din Arealul Codrilor beekeeping cluster, and the Frudova table grape cluster. Together, they have more than 70 members, including companies, government agencies, industry associations, and research and educational institutions. // 22.10.2026 — InfoMarket.
