According to the National Road Administration, these measures—part of the "Connectivity in Rural Areas of Moldova" project funded by the World Bank—are scheduled to be implemented on five sections of national roads in the Ștefan Vodă, Orhei, and Hîncești districts: R30 Anenii Noi – Căușeni – Ștefan Vodă – border with Ukraine (km 55+700 – km 56+700); R6 Chișinău – Orhei – Bălți (km 47+300 – km 48+300); R6 Chișinău – Orhei – Bălți (km 35+500 – km 36+500); R6 Chișinău – Orhei – Bălți (km 33+000 – km 34+000); R3 Chișinău – Hîncești – Cimișlia – Basarabeasca– border with Ukraine (km 28+800 – km 29+800). These sections, identified as "accident hotspots," are characterized by a high risk of accidents. The measures outlined in the project will help reduce risk factors and create safer conditions for road users. The work will be tailored to the specific needs of each section and will include the rehabilitation of the road surface and intersections, earthwork and drainage improvements, the installation of guardrails and traffic signs, the application of road markings, the construction of sidewalks, and other related activities. The tender procedure will be conducted as a national competitive procurement using the Request for Proposals (RFB) method for small-scale projects.
