The Investment Agency announced this while inviting Moldovan business representatives to participate in an economic mission organized in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and our country's embassy in Austria. As noted, this mission will take place within the framework of a meeting of the Moldovan-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and is aimed at strengthening bilateral economic relations, developing business partnerships, and identifying new export and investment opportunities. The program will include: a roundtable on Austria–Moldova business issues; B2B meetings with representatives of government agencies, export and investment promotion institutions, and the business communities of Austria and Moldova; visits to Austrian companies; business meetings and B2B meetings with members of Romania Connect Austria. Moldovan companies from the following sectors are invited to participate in the Economic Mission to Austria: energy, infrastructure, construction, healthcare, ICT, real estate, the automotive and agri-food industries, as well as companies from other sectors interested in cooperating with Austrian partners. Participation offers the opportunity to: identify new business partners; explore export and investment opportunities; promote the company's products and services on the Austrian market; and expand one's network of contacts within the framework of the official bilateral economic dialogue. The registration deadline is August 17. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldovan exports to Austria in January–May 2026 decreased by 21.9% compared to the same period in 2025, falling to 4 million euros, while Austrian imports to Moldova increased by 6.2% to 41.7 million euros.
