A Fiscal Council will begin operations in Moldova in 2028
Moldova is preparing to launch a new independent body that will monitor budgetary and tax policy and assess compliance with fiscal rules. The initiative calls for tighter oversight of government agencies' forecasts and decisions, as well as regular reporting to parliament; the agency's budget for the coming years has already been finalized.
