According to the draft tax and customs policy for 2027, for vehicles subject to an annual vehicle inspection, the fee must be paid on the day of the inspection if it has not been paid earlier. Owners of vehicles that undergo a technical inspection once every two years will pay the fee on the day of the inspection in the year it is conducted, and in the year without an inspection, no later than the last day of the corresponding tax period. The amendments also provide for the transfer, effective January 1, 2026, to the National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) of the authority to administer the road usage fee for vehicles registered in Moldova whose weight, axle load, or dimensions exceed the established standards. Amounts of this fee paid in error or in excess will be offset against other payments or refunded to payers based on applications submitted to ANTA. In connection with the transfer of the fee to the agency's jurisdiction, it is proposed to repeal the provisions requiring taxpayers, including ANTA, to submit reports on accrued or paid obligations. // 11.08.2026 — InfoMarket.
