The officials discussed trade relations between the two countries and potential new opportunities for their development. It was emphasized that the main areas of interest for Chinese investors in Moldova are the agro-industrial sector, agricultural processing, infrastructure projects, energy, etc. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldovan exports to China in January-September 2025 amounted to $5.93 million, a decrease of 4.3% compared to the same period in 2024. At the same time, Moldova’s imports of products from China increased by 18.5% to $1 billion 062.5 million.
