The Moldovan government intends to strengthen cooperation with the IMF so that the measures it takes contribute to improving the quality of life of the country's citizens
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu stated this at a meeting with a group of International Monetary Fund experts led by Alina Iancu, at which the government's current priorities and the importance of accelerating reforms aimed at supporting the economic development of our country were discussed. IMF experts will be in Moldova from December 4 to 17 to analyze the latest changes in the economy, prospects, and risks at the macroeconomic level. Alexandru Munteanu stressed that the government is currently pursuing a number of strategic goals: restoring the national economy, implementing the European agenda, and ensuring national security. According to him, to achieve these goals, the government has a clear plan to improve the investment climate, support small and medium-sized enterprises, increase labor productivity, and create new jobs. At the same time, actions related to budget and fiscal policy, the fight against corruption and ensuring the rule of law, as well as the continuation of judicial reform, will be continued.
