The Foreign Investors Association (FIA) of Moldova advocates for the continuation of reforms necessary to enhance economic competitiveness and attract investment
This was stated by the Foreign Investors Association (FIA) in Moldova, presenting the views of foreign investors on the investment climate in our country during a meeting in Chisinau with the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as part of its dialogue with representatives of Moldovan civil society. During discussions on reform challenges, the European integration process, the business environment, human capital, and sustainable development, the FIA presented the foreign investors' perspective on the investment climate in Moldova. The importance of a predictable regulatory framework, strengthening the rule of law, developing human capital, and continuing the reforms necessary to enhance economic competitiveness and attract investment was emphasized. At the same time, challenges faced by the business community, such as labor shortages, the need to accelerate reforms, and ensure a stable and predictable investment environment, were addressed. The FIA noted that it highly values the EBRD's openness to direct dialogue with business and civil society representatives and remains an active partner in advancing reforms that foster sustainable economic development and bring Moldova closer to EU standards.
