Switzerland remains one of Moldova's key partners in both trade and investment and is implementing a number of projects - Eugen Osmochescu
This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization after a meeting with Ivo Germann, Head of the Foreign Trade Division of the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). Eugen Osmochescu noted that the meeting was productive. “It is a valuable experience to communicate with a person who has built bridges between economic cooperation, private sector development, and international trade relations. Together, we emphasized the importance of dialogue between Moldova and Switzerland, within which bilateral economic relations continue to develop,” said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. According to him, Switzerland remains one of Moldova's key partners, both in trade and investment, and a reliable pillar of our country's socio-economic development. The parties discussed projects that have a real impact and are supported by the Swiss side: digitalization of services for the business environment, modernization of state institutions, and capacity building in the field of trade policy. They also noted Moldova's export potential to the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries and opportunities for Swiss investors in key sectors of our economy. “A constructive dialogue took place, which shows us that the path to a sustainable economic partnership is closer than ever,” emphasized Eugen Osmochescu. // 12.03.2026 — InfoMarket
