A significant portion of the funds received under the €1.9 billion Moldova Growth Plan will be used for investment - Alexandru Munteanu
The Prime Minister of Moldova announced this at a meeting with a delegation of the European Parliament, which arrived in Chisinau for a meeting of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee. MEP Siegfried Mureşan, who leads the delegation, stated that the European Parliament supports and will continue to support Moldova and believes that our country is ready to begin accession negotiations with the EU on certain topics. He added that the European Parliament will continue to be an active partner in this process. In turn, Alexandru Munteanu expressed gratitude for the support provided to our country by the European Parliament, including through the approval of the €1.9 billion Moldova Growth Plan. He noted that a significant portion of the funds received under the Growth Plan will be used for investment. "The government's main goal is to ensure economic growth and expand production capacity, including for high-value-added goods. We will continue to invest in infrastructure development, including by building roads and bridges that will directly connect us to the European network," the head of government stated.
