As announced by the government press service, the progress made in implementing the measures of the Reform Program in the second half of this year was analyzed at a meeting to monitor the implementation of the Growth Plan for Moldova. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, members of the Cabinet, and a delegation from the European Commission led by Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), participated in the discussions. The head of the Cabinet noted that the institutions are fully committed to implementing the agenda and carrying out the planned measures within the established deadlines. “We are working at an accelerated pace, and our harmonization with European standards is being carried out not only to meet European requirements, but also as part of our national commitments to internal development, improving living standards, and the progress of Moldova,” said Alexandru Munteanu. Some of the planned measures have already been fully implemented and included in the first semi-annual report. Others are currently being implemented and are aimed at developing the energy, economic, labor, and environmental sectors. Based on the results obtained, the preparation of the second semi-annual report will begin in the coming days. Progress in implementing the Growth Plan measures makes it possible to attract European funding and new investments in projects that benefit citizens. Secretary General of the Government Alexei Buzu spoke about investment projects in the context of the Growth Plan for Moldova and noted the European Commission's openness to dialogue, guidance, and support. The Growth Plan, supported by the European Union, is the largest and most ambitious financial assistance package in Moldova's history, worth €1.9 billion. It provides a unique opportunity to accelerate economic growth and improve the living standards of citizens. // 03.12.2025 – InfoMarket.
