The Ministry of Energy reported that its head, Dorin Junghietu, met with an International Monetary Fund mission led by Alina Iancu. The mission is in Chisinau from December 4 to 17 to hold discussions with the Moldovan authorities as part of consultations stipulated by Article IV of the IMF's Articles of Agreement. The main goal of the IMF experts is to analyze recent economic developments, assess macroeconomic prospects and risks, and discuss policy priorities with the authorities and other key stakeholders.
