The World Bank will assist AIPA in adapting it to European standards and accreditation requirements for managing European financing for Moldova's agriculture
This was discussed during a meeting between representatives of the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) and a World Bank delegation. The meeting focused on information exchange on the Agency's activities, its priorities during Moldova's preparation for EU accession, the institution's compliance with accreditation requirements, and the dynamics of its managed financial resources. A separate topic of discussion at this meeting was the agricultural policy AIPA will implement, as well as the importance of information systems in light of EU countries' experience. Representatives of the World Bank delegation noted that the opportunity to learn from the experience of payment agencies in EU member states is important for AIPA, and the support provided to Moldova in this area, including through the World Bank, is having a significant impact, particularly on the policy development process. Analyses developed by experts or those currently under development can improve existing mechanisms and, consequently, strengthen existing national frameworks. AIPA noted that the World Bank's support plays a special role for the agency, and the goals achieved through it are aimed at benefiting all interested parties in the agricultural sector and rural development. The agency highly values the support of all external partners and reaffirms its commitment to maintaining relationships based on strong partnerships and long-term trust. // 15.04.2026 – InfoMarket.
