According to preliminary data from the National Bank of Moldova, this was due to a reduction in the deficit in foreign trade in goods and an increase in the surplus in the balances of services and primary income, while the surplus in the balance of secondary income decreased. The current account deficit to GDP was 20.9%, down by 5 percentage points from the first quarter of 2025. The capital account balance (the difference between capital inflows and outflows) was €7.2 million, down by 17.1% from the same period in 2025, driven by a 24% increase in capital outflows to €15.5 million and a 7.2%...
