A large-scale campaign to inform farmers about government support measures and opportunities to receive subsidies will begin in Moldova on July 8
This was announced by Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga, who, alongside the colleagues from the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA), held a dialogue with agricultural producers and economic agents from the Rîșcani district. The discussions focused on current issues related to financing opportunities for the agricultural sector, changes in subsidy policy, support instruments, as well as aspects to which farmers should pay close attention in the near future in the context of the approval of the Strategic Program for Agricultural Policy. Ludmila Catlabuga noted that the process of European integration has already made significant progress, and the authorities wish to gain access to a portion of the multiannual budget and funding earmarked for preparations for EU accession in order to take advantage of these opportunities. At the same time, the Minister of Agriculture noted that it is not enough simply to attract financial resources; it is also important to prepare for their effective management. According to her, this means being able to plan properly, develop domestic institutional capacity, and have well-established information systems in order to develop high-quality projects and utilize the funding intended for accession preparations. Ludmila Catlabuga emphasized that a large-scale information campaign will be launched starting July 8. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, in collaboration with AIPA, will visit the regions to provide farmers with information about support measures and subsidies available this year. // 16.06.2026 — InfoMarket
