The Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM) will nominate Mariana Durlesteanu as its own candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
The PSRM chairman Igor Dodon announced this, noting that his party will put forward an initiative to create a parliamentary majority of at least 51 MPs. Igor Dodon emphasized that this will not be a coalition, but a technical majority to save the country, which can be joined by all responsible MPs, including PAS ones. Mariana Durlesteanu is a former Moldovan ambassador to Great Britain and a former finance minister. "The proposal is constitutional. Any refusal by President Maia Sandu would be a serious violation of the Constitution," Igor Dodon said. // 11.02.2021 - InfoMarket.
