This was stated in the National Bank of Moldova's materials regarding the latest decision of its Executive Committee to maintain the base rate, applied to the main short-term monetary policy operations, at 5% per annum. The NBM noted that annual inflation in February amounted to 5.06%, 0.22 percentage points higher than the previous month and close to the medium-term inflation target of 5%.
