Moldova and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have signed a new Partnership Program for 2026–2032

The document was signed in Vienna by Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu and UNIDO Director-General Gerd Muller. According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, the new program establishes a strategic framework for cooperation between Moldova and UNIDO aimed at supporting sustainable industrial development, enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, facilitating the “green” and digital transitions, and advancing the process of European integration. During the discussions, Eugen Osmochescu highly commended UNIDO’s ongoing support for the modernization of the national economy and emphasized the importance of the new program for attracting investment, developing skills, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and creating new jobs. At the same time, opportunities for expanding cooperation were explored, including the possibility of implementing initiatives in Moldova aimed at strengthening industrial resilience and transferring modern technologies, based on the model of projects implemented by UNIDO in collaboration with international partners.
