The National Agency for Road Transport (NART) presented a program of strategic development in 2018-2020 worth 480.1 million lei ($ 28.7 million).
As the director of the NART Vsevolod Bocsanean noted at the presentation of the program on Tuesday, 90% of the cargo transportation in Moldova is carried out by motor transport and increasing its efficiency directly affects the social and economic development of the country. Speaking about the program, in particular, it was noted that it is divided into 6 strategic objectives, the implementation of which will create a stable motor transport system that contributes to the balanced development of the economy and society. The basic budget - 458.38 million lei - will be directed to the first goal - the development of quality management. This, in particular, involves the introduction of road safety audits, the establishment of a security monitoring center, the acquisition of appropriate equipment and the certification of quality management in accordance with ISO standards. Other goals are: technological modernization of public services, improvement of control processes, improvement of professional skills of the staff, increase of efficiency through increased transparency and responsibility, international cooperation. Also, were identified five possible risks, to which may be subject the NART Development Program for 2018-2020, the main ones being the lack of support from development partners and the loss of qualified personnel.// 11.09.2018 – InfoMarket.
