Moldovan citizens engaged in cargo and passenger transportation will be able to stay in Ukraine up to 180 days during each half year
As reported by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, today it takes effect a protocol to the Moldovan-Ukrainian intergovernmental agreement on international automobile communication of March 20, 1993, which the parties signed in October 2018 in Chisinau in the presence of Prime Ministers of the two countries Pavel Filip and Volodymyr Groysman. In particular, the signed document excludes freight and passenger carriers from the list of persons covered by the immigration laws. Until now, persons providing international transportation services could be located on the territory of Ukraine in the aggregate not more than 90 days over a period of 180 days. However, as noted earlier, taking into account the specifics of activities in the field of international passenger and freight traffic, these persons often cross the borders of both states, exceeding the specified 90-day period of stay in the territory of another state over a period of 180 days. Moldovan transport workers insisted on introducing the above-mentioned amendments since they faced great problems and, taking into account the existing restrictions, they could not normally carry out international transport services. // 23.07.2019 - InfoMarket.
