Small and medium enterprises of Moldova will be able to receive grants totaling 200 thousand lei within the framework of the program “Greening the Economy”
The greening program for small and medium enterprises in Moldova was presented on November 28 at the XII International Conference of SMEs, traditionally held by the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector (ODIMM). The program “Greening SMEs” includes 3 components: development of information tools and implementation infrastructure; providing financial incentives; post-financial support and monitoring. Under this program, at least 150 companies will be selected to finance measures to improve the environmental friendliness of products and services, adopt standards, use green technologies and innovations. At the same time, it is expected that about 3,000 people will receive information support, and at least 400 companies will be prepared to implement the principles of the green economy. At the financing stage, companies can participate in a grant competition: it is planned to allocate 100 grants up to 200 thousand lei (covering up to 70% of the project cost) and 50 grants up to 500 thousand lei (covering 50% of the project cost). Greening the economy program is designed for 36 months (2019-2021) with the possibility of extension. Its budget is 60 million lei for the entire implementation period. According to ODIMM, small and medium-sized enterprises generate about 64% of industrial pollution, but only 16% of them participate in environmental campaigns. Governments all over the world are increasingly concerned about finding the best solutions and technologies for the proper management of waste. //29.11.2019 - InfoMarket.
