Moldova is interested in the support of the World Bank, - Vadim Brinzan.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Vadim Brinzan met with the World Bank team in Moldova, led by Country Director Satu Kähkönen. During the meeting, were discussed issues such as the reform of the business environment, amendment and addition to the law on insolvency, price control, corporate governance and privatization. The Minister noted the importance of financial support and expertise provided by external development partners, including World Bank. He expressed interest in continuing cooperation with the World Bank, with the aim of improving the economic sector through demonopolization and de-offshore economy. The Minister noted that the support of the World Bank in Chisinau is important for Moldova, and expressed confidence in the successful implementation of projects related to improving public services, strengthening the rule of law and increasing the responsibility of economic institutions, as well as ensuring the stability of the financial sector. During the meeting, were noted the mistakes of the previous leadership and methods for filling gaps in the sphere of state property privatization, as well as measures that can be implemented to increase transparency and increase the efficiency of this process. In addition, emphasis was placed on solutions aimed at removing barriers to business, as well as improving legislation in the railway sector.
