According to the National Bureau of Statistics, investments in long-term intangible assets amounted to 231.8 million lei, an increase of 54.5% compared to the first half of 2018. At the same time, investments in long-term tangible assets increased by 26.2% to 8 billion 922.4 million lei. In January-June 2019, investments in equipment, machinery, and communication devices amounted to 3 billion 70.9 million lei, an increase of 20% compared to the same period in 2018. Investments in the construction of residential buildings amounted to 1 billion 352 million lei (+ 20.3%), investments in non-residential houses (buildings and structures) amounted to 1 billion 504.8 million lei (+ 30.7%), investments in vehicles - 1 billion 14.3 million lei (+24, 9%), in engineering structures - 1 billion 491.9 million lei (+ 40.8%), other tangible assets - 489.6 million lei (+ 39.2%). In the structure of investments by type of fixed assets, the largest share in the I half of 2019 was made by investments in equipment, machinery and transmission devices - 33.5% of the total. The main sources of financing investment activity during the period under review remained the own funds of business entities, amounting to 5 billion 912.1 million lei (64.6% of the total). In comparison with January-June 2018, their volume increased by 17.2%. Investments from budgetary funds totaled 1 billion 149.8 million lei (12.5% of the total investment), exceeding January-June 2018 by 50.5%. Investments from the state budget amounted to 614.8 million lei (6.7% of the total), an increase of 55.1%, and investments from the budgets of the administrative-territorial units increased by 45.7% - up to535 million lei, and their share in the total investment amounted to 5.8%. Foreign investments increased by 84.7% to 549.6 million lei, and their share in the total volume amounted to 6%.
