The Moldovan government has allocated 26 million lei for the completion of the construction of two water pipes in the Falesti and Leova districts.
According to the decision of the Cabinet on the redistribution of funds approved in the state budget for 2018, 26 million lei from the National Environmental Fund were redistributed to the National Regional Development Fund for the completion of the project to provide drinking water to Falesti and the construction of the water pipeline Leova-Iargara. The decision of the Cabinet was adopted following the results of government meetings in Falesti and Leova districts, where water supply problems were voiced. It should be noted that the total cost of the project for providing Falesti with drinking water is 35.52 million lei. In 2017-2018 years, some 14.5 million lei were allocated from the National Fund for Regional Development for its implementation. To complete the project, 21.02 million lei are needed, which were not available in the mentioned fund. At the same time, to complete the construction of the Leova-Iargar water pipeline there is necessary another 5 million lei. According to the Law on the State Budget for 2018, 200 million lei were provided for the National Fund for Regional Development, and the National Ecological Fund - 269.3 million lei. At the same time, currently 104 million lei are budgeted from the National Environmental Fund. As Ministry of Finance noted, given the possibility of carrying out the planned work before the end of the year, the funds of this fund could not be fully developed. Therefore, the government was offered to redistribute 26 million lei from this fund to the National Regional Development Fund for the completion of the project to provide drinking water to Falesti and the construction of the water pipeline Leova-Iargara. //06/09.2018 - InfoMarket.
