According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-June this year, investments in long-term intangible assets amounted to 140.6 million lei, an increase of 21.6%, compared to the same period last year. At the same time, investments in long-term tangible assets increased by 7.2% to 6 billion 627.1 million lei. According to the NBS, while in the first half of 2018, investments in equipment, machines, transfer devices amounted to 2 billion 428.1 million lei, an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period of 2017. Investments in the construction of residential buildings amounted to 1 billion 044.7 million lei (-3.7% against the same period of 2017), investments in non-residential buildings (buildings and structures) - 1 billion 069.3 million lei (+3.1%), investments in vehicles - 770.5 million lei (+ 22.2%), engineering works - 984.8 million lei (+ 27%), other tangible assets - 329.7 million lei (-11.5%). In the structure of investments by type of fixed assets, the largest share for 6 months of 2018 accounted for investments in equipment, machines and transmission devices - 35.9% of the total. The main sources of financing for investment activities in the first half of 2018 were the own funds of economic entities, amounting to 4 billion 727.3 million lei (69.8% of the total). Compared with the same period of 2017, their volume in January-June of current year increased by 2.9%. Investments from the budgetary funds totaled 715.8 million lei (10.6% of the total investment). Investments from the state budget amounted to 371.6 million lei (5.5% of the total), an increase of 61.8%, while investments from the budgets of administrative-territorial units increased by 41.3% to 344.2 million lei, and their share in the total volume of investments was 5.1%. Foreign investments decreased by 21.2% to 278.9 million lei, and their share in the total volume was 4.1%.
