The volume of voice traffic in mobile networks of Moldova increased in the first quarter of 2019 by 14.4 million minutes (1%) to 1.5 billion minutes versus the same period of 2018
According to the data provided to the National Agency for Regulation in the Field of Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI) by three mobile communications service providers (Orange Moldova, Moldcell and Moldtelecom-Unite), the growth in total voice traffic in mobile telephony networks in January-March 2019 was due to an increase in the volume of traffic directed to other mobile networks - by 9.4% to 268.3 million minutes, as well as the volume of traffic generated in its own networks - by 0.3% to 1 billion 130.8 million minutes. As a result of this evolution, the average monthly voice traffic (MoU) generated by a single user in Q1 2019 increased by 4.4% to 273 minutes (4 hours and 33 minutes) versus the same period last year and the duration of a call averaged 1.7 minutes.
