According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, today more than 600 companies have become residents of Moldova IT-Park, of which 100 companies joined the IT-park in 2020. Almost 50% of residents are companies created after the launch of Moldova IT-Park. The resident companies were founded by investors from Moldova and 34 other countries. The top 5 countries the foreign capital comes from are the United States (22 companies), Romania (15 companies), Italy (13 companies), Great Britain (12 companies) and Germany (9 companies). The forecast on the turnover of Moldova IT-Park residents for 2020 is 4.05 billion lei. Over 6 months of this year, the revenue from sales of resident companies amounted to 2.2 billion lei, which is 40% more relative to the same period last year. About 16% of sales proceeds (over 341 million lei) were obtained through local contracts, and more than 1.8 billion lei - through services provided outside Moldova. Despite the pandemic, the volume of attracted investments in the national economy in the first half of 2020 exceeded 27 million lei, as in the same period last year. The number of employees of the Moldova IT-Park resident companies totals 10.5 thousand people. Their average monthly salary increased in the first half of the year by 12% relative to the same period last year and amounted to 29,025 lei. According to the recent legislative amendments, employees of Moldova IT-Park residents will receive higher social security benefits: in early August, their insured monthly income was increased from 60% to 68% of the average monthly salary. Let's remind that Moldova IT-Park was launched on January 1, 2018 for a period of 10 years. Currently Moldova IT-Park is the first and only IT-park in our country, the residents of which enjoy a special tax regime. The flat tax, which is 7% of sales income, includes most of the taxes and duties due to the government. In addition, the residents of the IT-park can attract highly qualified specialists from abroad.
