According to the National Agency for Regulation in the Field of Electronic Communications and Information Technologies, the decrease was due to a decline in revenues from the sale of fixed telephony and mobile telephony services, while revenues from the sale of mobile and fixed Internet access services increased in the corresponding period. In particular, sales in the fixed telephony services market in the II quarter of 2019, compared to the same period last year, decreased by 17.9% to 116.6 million lei, while sales in the mobile telephony services market decreased by 3.7 % - to 785.1 million lei. At the same time, income from the sale of mobile Internet access services increased by 18.2% to 300.7 million lei, while income from the sale of fixed Internet access services increased by 5.9% to 340.4 million lei. According to National Agency for Regulation in the Field of Electronic Communications and Information Technologies, the highest level of average monthly income per user (ARPU) was in the market of fixed Internet access services - 177.8 lei, but it fell by 1.4% compared to the same period last year. The size of this indicator in the market of dedicated mobile Internet access services amounted to 82.4 lei (-0.8%).
