The government approved at a meeting on Wednesday the Regulation on the administrative requirements for certain categories of aerodromes. This regulation is in line with the guidelines for aerodrome certification developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization. This provision will allow regulating the activities of small airfields in Moldova, for example, for sports activities - in Vadul lui Voda, for commercial and transport activities - at the Marculesti airport, for tourism activities and promotion of Moldova’s wineries, etc. According to the document, a more simplified certification procedure for small aerodromes (requirements for the length of the runway and the lighting system are spelled out; there is no obligation to provide air navigation services, etc.).
