According to the government, during the meeting, which was held by Prime Minister Maia Sandu, was discussed the functionality of the National Integrity Agency, as well as other important issues. The Anti-Corruption Council under the Prime Minister is a platform for studying systemic problems and policies in the field of preventing and combating corruption and reform of justice, as well as for coordinating efforts between competent public authorities in order to successfully implement the adopted policies. The council includes: the Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice, representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prevention and Combating Money Laundering Services, the General Inspectorate of Police, the Customs Service, the State Tax Service, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Corruption, the Information and Security Service, The National Anti-Corruption Center, the National Integrity Body, the High Council of Magistracy, the High Council of Prosecutors and the Agency for the Compensation of Criminally Obtained Property. At the first meeting, the framework, priorities and the functioning of the council were established.
