As noted in the NBM, consumer prices in August 2018 decreased, in comparison with the previous month, against the background of a decrease in food prices by 0.3%, as well as a reduction in tariffs for services rendered to the population by 0.2%, as the prices for non-food products in general remained at the same level. According to official statistics in August of 2018, food prices for most of the food products overall declined by 6.2%. At the same time, grapes have fallen in price by 29.8%, pome fruits - by 15.4%, stone fruit fruits - by 15%. Prices for dried fruits and berries decreased by 1.6%, potatoes - by 1%, by-products - by 0.9%, sugar by 0.8%, pork - by 0.6%. Fresh vegetables have fallen in price by 0.4% carrots by 20.3%, beets by 17.6%, tomatoes by 17.3%, eggplants by 15.6%, melons and melons - on 11,2%, sweet pepper - on 10,1%. The cost of sour cream has reduced by 0.4%, fermented milk products - by 0.2%. At the same time, during the reporting period, prices for cucumbers increased by 22.9%, zucchini by 19.1%, cabbage by 17.3%, onions by 13%, citrus by 6.5%, chicken eggs - by 4%, exotic fruits - by 2.4%, fresh mushrooms - by 1.2%, poultry - by 0.7%, wheat flour - by 0.5%, beer, fresh and frozen fish - by 0,3%, bottled wines and soft drinks - by 0,2%. According to the NBS, prices for most non-food products in August remained at the level of the previous month. However, women's sandals went down a little - by 1.2%, conditioners - by 1.1%, vacuum cleaners - by 0.9%, telephones - by 0.7%, medicines and computers - by 0.6% fuel, electric stoves, jackets, jackets, women's sweaters - by 0.4%, refrigerators and freezers, washing machines, televisions, medical products - up to 0.3%. In August, non-food prices increased by 2.2% for bottled liquefied gas, printed publications and writing utensils - by 1.4%, for sanitary and hygiene items - 0.9%. The prices for various types of children's clothing and footwear increased from 0.4% to 0.9%. Prices for cars rose by 0.5%, cigarettes - by 1.1%. Among the services rendered to the population, in August, there was an increase in tariffs for tuition in higher education institutions - by 1.2%, passenger air transportation services by 1%, maintenance of children in kindergartens and nurseries.
