In Moldova, was announced a repeated international tender for the selection of new contractors for the repair of a number of road sections with the EIB and EBRD loan funds.

According to the EBRD, in particular, the government intends to use loans received from the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (150 million euro each) to restore part of the national road network. In particular, within the framework of the new tender, it is planned to select new contractors for the repair of the following road sections: R6 M1-Ialoveni, km 0 + 000 - km 6 + 550 (M2 - Chisinau bypass, km 0 + 000 - km 6 + 550) - EIB financing ; R14 Balti-Sarateni, km 26 + 600 - km 38 + 300 (repair of R6 Chisinau-Orhei-Balti km 99 + 530-km 111 + 230); R14 Balti-Sarateni, km 43 + 000 - km 61 + 000 and bridge at km 64 + 756 (repair of R6 Chisinau-Orhei-Balti km 76 + 700-km 94 + 700 and bridge at km 72 + 944); R9 Soroca-Arionesti, km 0 + 000 - km 30 + 950 (repair of R14 R6-Codru Nou-Unguri-border with Ukraine, km 92 + 940-km 123 + 890); R34 Hincesti-Leova-Cahul, km 0 + 000 - km 42 + 200 (repair of R34 Hincesti-Leova-Cahul-Giurgiulesti, km 0 + 000-km 42 + 200); R34 Hincesti-Leova-Cahul, km 42 + 200 km 83 + 000 (repair of R34 Hincesti-Leova-Cahul-Giurgiulesti, km 42 + 200-km 83 + 000). It is expected that tenders for the above contracts will be held in the fourth quarter of 2018. It should be noted that earlier, during the tenders, for these works were selected contractors from various international companies, however, contracts with them were canceled because of the slow pace of road works, lack of necessary progress, etc. As InfoMarket News Agency reported earlier, Moldova has signed an agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank on loans worth 300 million euros for repairing roads. In particular, the EBRD agreement provides for a loan of 150 million euros to repair 201 km of the country's main roads. The agreement with the EIB provides for a loan of the same amount to repair 121 km of national roads. In addition, for the construction of roads, the European Commission allocates Moldova a grant of 16.2 million euros. It was planned that, for the EBRD and EIB's funds in Moldova will be repaired, as part of the restoration of the national road network with a total value of over 300 million euros, 322 km of national roads altogether. //11.09.2018 – InfoMarket.
