The EBRD will provide € 20 million for the construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline with a total value of € 90 million and will receive a share in Vestmoldtransgaz LLC in return for its investments.
This is stated in the materials of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the financing project for Vestmoldtransgaz. As noted, it is about providing equity investments in the form of an increase in capital in exchange for a stake in Vestmoldtransgaz, a Moldovan gas transportation company that ultimately is owned and controlled by the Romanian operator of the Transgaz transport system.
