National Wine Day will take place on October 3-rd and 4-th under the slogan Eu deVIN sărbătoare.
During a press conference on Tuesday, the director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, Gheorghe Arpentin, said that the organization of the 19th National Wine Day will be taking into account the epidemiological situation, therefore, there will be no traditional holiday, which annually attracted more than 100 thousand guests on the Great National Assembly Square. In return, a small event will be organized near the Arc de Triomphe. At the same time, at the national level, a program will be organized under the slogan Eu deVIN sărbătoare, which will allow to celebrate the day of wine safely, with family and friends at home or at wineries. This year, at the most representative festival of the country's wine industry, will be presented a retrospective of the most important moments of Moldovan winemaking in recent years, will be told about the successes of Moldovan winemakers, etc. On the first weekend of October, National Wine Day will be celebrated in accordance with the thematic program, which will include an official celebration ceremony and the traditional presentation of medals and awards to the best winemakers. There will also be a retrospective exhibition that will illustrate the most important moments of the 19-year history of the holiday, and an exhibition of labels for wine bottles. In the media can be seen special thematic programs and shows dedicated to the millennial traditions of winemaking in Moldova, will be organized various thematic contests. All wineries in the country have a special program in which everyone can take part. In addition, according to Arpentin, trade networks and HoReCa will join the celebration of the Day of Wine and will offer special discounts on Moldovan wine. At the same time, the celebration of the National Day will also take place outside Moldova: the organizers have planned online tastings of Moldovan wines, traditional press tours for foreign journalists and bloggers specializing in winemaking. In addition, the National Office of Grapes and Wine begins preparations for the 20th anniversary wine festival, which will be held in the fall of 2021, which is planned as the largest and most ambitious event in the years of the celebration. Recall that National Wine Day was established in 2002 and is celebrated annually.
